The Houbi cryptocurrency exchange recently made official announcements about changing its name to HTX and demonstrating its plan for global expansion.
As it was stated in the exchange’s official release, Houbi will become HTX. According to information recorded by Betomon, the exchange’s official X account address (formerly Twitter) has also been changed to HTX Global rather than Huobi Global at the time of writing.
Huobi changed its name to HTX, in which “H” stands for Huobi, “T” represents Tron, and “X” for exchange, as the exchange’s explanation. In addition, another explanation is that HT represents the platform’s native token while X represents the exchange. On the other hand, X represents the number 10 in Roman numerals, signifying the HTX’s tenth anniversary of its founding. This marks a new era for the platform, with collaboration among HTX, TRON, and Poloniex.
“Global expansion, building a prosperous ecosystem, ensuring security and compliance” is the new growth strategy that HTX is pursuing. The HTX states that they intend to maintain balanced growth while breaking into new markets with promising prospects across different countries and regions.
Primarily concentrating on expansion and profits, HTX offers many kinds of services and product lines to consumers globally, such as PrimeVote, Flexi Max, Shark Fin,… One thing worth mentioning about Houbi’s rename announcement to HTX is that the exchange will work strategically with public chains like Tron, cross-chain protocols like BitTorrent, and stablecoin projects like TrueUSD.
Data from CoinGecko indicates that HTX is ranked 3rd worldwide and the 10th largest exchange overall. In the meantime, following the announcement that Huobi had rebranded as HTX, the price of HT tokens does not seem to have significantly changed. Currently, 1 HT is trading at 2.34 USD, increasing 0.1% over the last 24 hours.
